Immerse yourself in the mountain village of Uhaj, in Banaue, Ifugao. Knitting Expedition takes you on a tranquil cultural getaway. Sleep in a native Ifugao hut overlooking the rice terraces, learn to knit, dance with the locals, and go on a scenic hike to hot springs!

Day 0 (Thursday, Feb 6)

8:00pm – Meet at Bus Station
9:00pm – Leave for Banaue

Day 1 (Friday, Feb 7)

5:30am – Arrive Banaue and Register at Tourist Center
6:00am – Depart for Banaue Viewpoint
6:30am – Sunrise at Banaue Viewpoint
7:15am – Depart for Native Village Inn
8:00am – Introductions
8:30am - Breakfast and Free Time
12:00nn – Lunch and Check In
2:00pm – Knitting Workshop
6:00pm – Dinner

Day 2 (Saturday, Feb 8)

7:00am Breakfast
8:30am – Hike and Hot Springs
1:00pm – Lunch and Free Time/Rest
6:00pm – Dinner
7:00pm – Cultural Show and Community Dance

Day 3 (Sunday, Feb 9)

7:00am – Breakfast
10:00am – Check out and Depart for Banaue Town
10:30am – Arrive in Banaue Town for souvenir shopping, lunch, sight seeing
2:00pm – Closing circle
3:30pm – Depart for bus station
5:00pm – Arrive bus station and depart for Manila

Day 4 (Monday, Feb 10)
4:00am – Arrive Manila

Meals (except for 2 breakfasts). Please bring enough extra cash for meals as there are no reliable ATM machines and no credit cards accepted in town.

Accommodations

First come, first served basis
No registration, no reservation
Rooms and bathrooms are shared 
You will be staying in a refurbished traditional Ifugao hut - there are no actual beds in the rooms, there will be cushions on the floor for sleeping.  (There are huts for 2 people and also for 4 people).
Bathrooms have hot showers

Payment

Reservations will only be confirmed once a 50% downpayment has been made.  Last day for reservation is December 31, 2019.  Full payment must be settled by January 15, 2020.
